Artists Yasmina Alaoui and Marco Guerra, also known as YASCO, have been awarded the 2008 New Classic Nude winner sponsored four times annually by Christiania Arts Foundation. In seeking emerging artists who demonstrate purity, integrity, and passion in their work, the contest awards the winner for the best work of nude art. As a reward, the artist(s) are given a full billboard of congratulations to be displayed in the art district of a major city.
Christiania Arts Foundation Brings the Classic Nude Back

Alex Vik is the founder of Christiania Arts Foundation and also owner of Christiania Spirits, Inc. which produces the world’s smoothest premium vodka. In line with their commitment to purity and integrity, the classic nude represents the naked ambition with which they pursue their own passion. Vik is one of the CAF judges as is other distinguished VIP’s including Brett O’Bourke of Flavorpill.com, Lydia Fenet of Christie’s Auction House, Dennis Leyva of the City of Miami Beach, Anthony Spinello of Spinello Gallery, and Donald McPherson, fashion photographer.

In lieu of a billboard promotion in Miami’s Wynwood District during Art Basel Miami, Alaoui and Guerra has chosen to receive a full page in Evanly Schindler’s TAR magazine. Alaoui studied at the Beaux Art in Paris and earned a BA in Fine Art from William and Mary. Guerra is a NYC based Fashion photographer.
